CNDC works primarily with charitable organizations that have not yet achieved 501(c)(3) status. This can encompass organizations at virtually any stage of development – from a start-up to transitioning and established community organizations.
Since CNDC also assumes responsibility for all financial and legal liabilities for our projects, it’s important that we ensure the partnership is a good fit for everyone. Our vetting process helps ensure all organizations under the CNDC umbrella are aligned with our goal of implementing innovative solutions to build stronger communities. CNDC looks for Projects that demonstrate an innovative approach to meeting a community need, strong leadership, clear objectives, a realistic budget, and an ability to attract donors.
Once we have determined a charitable organization is a good match for CNDC, they become known as a ‘Project’ under the umbrella of CNDC’s 501(c)(3).
In addition to the services we offer to projects under our 501 (c)(3), we also offer certain support services to established 501(c)(3)s. These nonprofits essentially outsource their accounting to CNDC and receive hands-on support in financial management that allows them to focus their time and energy on providing quality services in the community.
