Backpack Dreams is reimagining youth-based fundraising by adding meaning, education, and impact. Instead of selling non-nutritional food products, youth groups, sports teams, schools and sororities will sell high-quality, fair-trade products. In addition to supporting the student’s cause, everyone who donates to the fundraiser will be providing work to artisan women, who reinvest those wages to improve conditions for their families and educate their children. Every donation to the fundraiser will be helping to break the cycle of poverty. Backpack Dreams will both be supporting education as well as economic mobility for those with limited access to resources.
