BCHIC’s mission is facilitate community collaboration to improve health and wellbeing in Boulder County. Focuses include expanding access to specialty care for Boulder County residents who are uninsured or insured by Health First Colorado (Medicaid), tracking federal policy developments that impact health and wellbeing in Boulder County, tracking and working to expand access to care, and responding to community crisis. Additionally, they are an alliance that serves as a space for community leaders to come together to partner to meet the needs of the community including working together on a collaborative community response to the public health emergency and its unwinding.
