Yozaima joined CNDC as Program Coordinator in August 2021. She is committed to using her experience to help build self-sustaining communities. She launched her nonprofit career as the Campaign Coordinator for a ballot measure that successfully banned single-use plastic bags in California and has gained momentum ever since. Her passion has led her to incredibly rewarding opportunities including, working with Spark Program, Inc. where she directly served youth at her local middle school in East Los Angeles. She hopes to offer Colorado her story so that she can continue connecting with others committed to an empathetic future. Outside of the office, Yozaima enjoys exploring the outdoors and is the owner of a handmade jewelry business named Maima’s Market.
