Allison McGee Johnson retired in 2018 after more than 25 years of professional experience in communications and public relations for public, private, government, and nonprofit entities.  Her most recent clients included the Colorado Department of Transportation, a government ethics watchdog, and a shopping center developer.  Johnson focused her efforts on community relations, public affairs, media relations, and crisis communications, and now lends her expertise to Denver community organizations on a volunteer basis.

Allison graduated from the University of Virginia with a BS in marketing, and moved to Colorado in 1995.  She lives in Denver with her husband and two children, and has contributed her time in several ways to the Denver community, in particular as chair of the public relations committee for Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver, as board president of the Montessori Academy of Colorado, as a fundraiser for Stanley British Primary School, and as chair and then treasurer of the board of directors for Urban Peak.  She is currently a member of the boards for the Colorado Nonprofit Development Center and City Year Denver.
