About Families Forward Resource Center:

Families Forward Resource Center (FFRC) is a full-service family resource center providing supportive services and programs to northeast Denver and north Aurora metro areas. Our mission is to enrich entire families through partnerships and services that create a safe, healthy, and connected community. FFRC has been serving the Far Northeast Denver and Aurora communities for nearly 30 years. FFRC aims to address and eliminate inequities that impact maternal and infant health through individual services and systems level work with focus on supporting those most impacted by maternal and infant health disparities including Black and African American individuals and families.

General Position Description:

The Data Specialist position supports FFRC’s leadership team, program staff, and evaluator in maintaining and managing the data systems at FFRC, and is responsible for identifying efficient ways to organize, store, and analyze data with attention to quality improvement efforts, meeting program performance goals, and addressing program staff concerns. The Data Specialists provides recommendations about the methods in which data is obtained from various sources, interprets patterns and trends for quality improvement, and examines efficiency of data systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze and interpret data, and report outcomes to leadership and program staff, and stakeholder groups.
  • Identify patterns and trends in data sets, and define new data collection and analysis processes for quality improvement.
  • Generate reports and data extraction, when needed.
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents.
  • Manage databases, oversee data entry, and perform data entry as needed.
  • Support staff with data functions and daily use of data collection and data systems.
  • Collaborate with external consultants to optimize evaluation and data-driven efforts.

General Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in FFRC meetings in a positive, problem-solving manner.
  • Maintain professionalism in line with FFRC’s values and policies.
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality as it relates to the agency and all records/documents.
  • Assist in development of programmatic reports to key stakeholders, including funders.
  • Develop and monitor regular outcome and evaluation measures for project goals.
  • Perform other program coordination, support, management or administrative duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in public health, computer science, information technology, or relevant field, or current enrollment in a relevant bachelor’s degree program.
  • Work experience in a database-oriented position.
  • Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions.
  • Familiarity with modern database and information systems (Salesforce experience desired).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Possess a tech-savvy, analytical mindset with advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in planning, implementing, managing, and timely completion of projects with multiple tasks.
  • Strong judgment, decision-making and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with others including peers, internal and external managers, community groups and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to document and communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and projects, and to assess and change priorities based upon agency needs.
  • Strong skills working with ad-hoc and formal teams to accomplish positive results. Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in public administration, public health, computer science or relevant field.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.

Work Schedule and Compensation:

  • This position is a part time, 20 hours per week. Part-Time (20 hours/week) – future opportunity for Full Time with benefits depending on grant funding.
  • Compensation Range: $22,000 – $27,000 based on education and experience. This is a grant-funded position that is dependent on external funding, therefore continued employment is contingent upon the receipt of funding to cover this role.
  • This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-person attendance three days a week, with two work-from-home days. Your schedule will be determined by the needs of your participants, and job requirements in which your calendar should reflect these days accordingly and shared with your supervisor. You must also be available to attend scheduled in-person events, office meetings, and check-ins, even if these fall outside your designated work-from-home days.
  • Normal business hours are Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm. Occasional weekend/evening hours may be required.
