Maria Montoya is a Certified Public Accountant with more than twenty-three years of experience in public accounting. She has spent her entire career with Kundinger, Corder & Montoya, P.C. in Denver since July 1998 after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in Accounting from Regis University.
Maria is a shareholder and the managing director at the firm, which specializes exclusively in not-for-profit audits and taxes of charities in the Denver area. Maria performs audit, review, tax preparation, and consulting services for a number of nonprofit organizations including religious organizations, private schools, private and public charitable foundations, and defined benefit and defined contribution employee benefit plans.
Ms. Montoya is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. She currently serves on the board of Colorado Nonprofit Development Center. She also serves on the Finance Committee of Mile High United Way and on the Leadership Advisory Committee of the Colorado Nonprofit Association. She previously served on the boards of Museo De Las Americas, Mi Casa Resource Center for Women, Reach Out and Read Colorado, and Halcyon Hospice.
