Raymael was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Colorado State University (Go Rams!), holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Colorado Denver, and is a certified nonprofit professional. Much of his professional career has been dedicated to the nonprofit sector including Peace Corps service in Ethiopia, facilitating mentoring programs for Goodwill Industries, and supporting youth in their higher education pursuits with Upward Bound (TRIO) and the Denver Scholarship Foundation.
Raymael is passionate about contributing to his community and was recognized as one of Denver’s 40 under 40 leaders in 2021. He is also a Career Pathways Alumnus, a highly selective program hosted by the Council on Foundations, that is focused on preparing leaders of Color to excel in executive leadership within philanthropy. Raymael is currently the Senior Program Officer at the Caring for Denver Foundation, focused on supporting nonprofits working to mitigate substance misuse/abuse and enhance the mental well-being for all Denver residents.
