Matrescence’s mission is to elevate and honor the profound journey of motherhood, fostering empowerment, generational wellness, and creative expression. Providing essential support catered to the black experience spanning physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health—from pregnancy’s embrace to birth’s triumph, through postpartum’s tender care and beyond. They plan to accomplish this by contracting with doulas to perform full-spectrum services, offering workshops to prepare black mothers a space to learn, prepare, and express themselves, and additionally, will be partnering with existing organizations to connect their participants to the best resources available in the community.
